Min Chow (Clifford) Hew, P.E. – Chief of Engineering & Co-owner

Mr. Hew always had a vision of starting his own engineering firm, and in 1992, he founded the firm with his wife, W. Elisa Chan. He worked as a full-time engineer as well as splitting his time between engineering design and business development. The company slowly began to gain more clients and work. Mr. Hew is the CEO and co-owner of UNINTECH.


He is a licensed civil engineer with 28 years of expertise in managing civil and structural engineering design projects. Mr. Hew is a proven leader and well-respected in the engineering community. He has managed well-over 200 projects. He has provided design services for city-owned facilities, commercial and residential buildings, schools and stadiums structures, parking garages, drainage, water and wastewater systems, bridges, roadways and water/sewer facility structures.

Experience

Mr. Hew has 26 years of experience with TxDOT projects involving the structural design and analysis of bridges and transportation-related structures, development of specifications, and development of structural-related software. He has experience in complete structural assessment, roofing evaluation, and collaborative multi-discipline engineering project management, plus oversight and documentation of structural construction management.


Mr. Hew has been published in the April 2004 issue of Concrete International magazine, where he helped examined the Cantilever Precast Concrete (CPC) advantage. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute. Mr. Hew received his Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from The University of Texas at Austin in 1986.
